Salli's Messy Little Blog (Guaranteed 100% Non-allergenic)

Thursday, December 23, 2004
Well that's that, then.
When you have over a foot of snow on the ground, and a Level 3 Snow Emergency, you don't go places unless you really have to. And if your neighborhood, like mine, hasn't even come close to being cleared yet, you'd probably have to have an off-road type vehicle to get out of the driveway.

My own little car certainly won't go anywhere for a while. The snow comes up at least to it's wheels, so it's quite firmly in place.

We had, they tell us, an official 15 inches of snow in the city, and probably more where I live. The Winter Storm Warning (which is very general, including several counties) predicts 16 to 24 inches for the whole thing, which may continue through this afternoon. It isn't really snowing much anymore, but a rather large set of clouds seems to be headed right towards us from Columbus. It's supposed to rapidly cool later, and we could get record lows, with all that snow on the ground.

If you, like me, are snowbound and rather restless, spend a few moments picking your favorites in these contests. First, Monsum's
New Year's contest, where I'm sure you'll recognize my entry (numbers are below the entry, not above). Second, my own Sword Dancer contest, which can use as many impartial votes as it can get.

I hope everyone is staying warm. (Would you poor, snowless people out there like more photos? :P )
