Between sessions of the thing last night, half the bell choir was in and out of the sacristy trying to turn on the lighting behind the stained glass window up front. it was extremely entertaining, flipping switches and waiting to see what happened. My dad found a ladder off to the side and up into a little attic area, and proceeded to pull it down and climb up it. Apparently there's a door that goes outside. We finally concluded that the light was burnt out, although I'm not sure that was accurate because it was sure working this morning, and I can't manage changing something so inaccessible that quickly. Thus, the lightbulb joke. The proper response, but those not familiar with it, is to assume a puzzled expression and ask "Change?" in an extremely skeptical manner.
